Forming in Oxford in 2017, Mother’s lo-fi demos attracted the attention of RIDE frontman Mark Gardener, who was soon snapped up to produce the band’s first and second EP. After releasing their EP ‘Remnants of a wasted dream’ they spent the rest of the year gigging and building up their audience and crafting their live shows.
2018 saw the band sell out their first headline show, have all 5 tracks from the EP played on BBC Intro with their own feature and win the Truck Festival band app. They then played two BBC Intro stages across the summer including Truck Festival.
The band finished the year with a raucous performance on the main stage of Ritual Union Festival alongside the likes of Gaz Coombes, GhostPoet & Nadine Shah.
